A Japanese Hoshi Bachi (helmet with standing rivets), circa 1800
the bowl composed of leather and lacquered wood, with addition lacquered iron brim and partially gilt, moulded peak, mounted with similarly gilt lacquered leather fitted neck guard with light blue lacing; and a hambo, 18th Century, the lacquered iron mask with dark blue lacing to the three plated neck guard -- 11½in.
