A Japanese Satsuma vase, signed Shozan seizo, Meiji Period
decorated with a continuous panel depicting a cockeral and hens pecking by a shore, mountains in the distance, below a band of stylised phoenix roundels and above another of geometric design from which sprays of grasses evade -- 6in. (15.3cm.) high.
