carved as two crouching lions chasing each other's tail, their head raised up with pronounced eyebrows and bulging eyes above the open jaws revealing the menacing teeth, each with its tail above the other's front paws, with the back legs tucked underneath, the stone of an even pale grey celadon tone -- 3 3/8in. (8.5cm.) wide; and a celadon jade brushwasher, carved as a large lotus leaf borne on a gnarled stem, with a dragonfly perched on the inverted irregular rim -- 5½in. (13.9cm.) across. (2)
