carved with a scholar holding a bamboo staff and an attendant leaning on his pack beside an oar alternating with two cranes sailing in a sampan, with a fishing basket hanging from the stern, the stone of pale celadon tone with a small area of yellowish inclusion -- 4 9/16in. (11.6cm.) long.
