BREITINGER, Johann Jakob (1701-1776). Autograph letter signed ('Joh. Jac. Breitinger') to an unidentified friend, n.p., n.d., in Latin, sending New Year's wishes, expressing his strong feelings of friendship, and asking pardon for having neglected his correspondent, 'Error enormis, vel potius facinus. Sed ignosce humanae fragilitati', one page, 4to (light spotting, remnant of mount), numbered '44' on verso; with transcripts of two other letters, one by Christian Fürchtegott Gellert (1757), the other by Slamon Geßner (1769, to Wieland).
