Georg, Freiherr von VEGA (1756-1802, mathematician and Austrian artillery officer). Autograph letter signed ('Vega. Major') to the Weidmann publishing house, Villingen, 13 October 1795, reporting that he has sent them the continuation of his tables of logarithms on his way back from the siege of Mannheim [in the War of the Palatine Succession, when his innovatory mortars had a considerable effect], 2 pages, 4to;
Werner von SIEMENS (inventor and industrialist, to Paul Lindau, 8 December 1885, two pages, 8vo, bifolium), Franz Brentano (21 January 1875, illness prevents him from holding a promised lecture), Georg Friedrich Grotefend (1830, referring to the 'Institute der archäologischen Correspondenz'), Svante Arrhenius (1904, in Swedish), Heinrich Rudolf Hertz (Bern, 26 November 1890), Carl Menger (two, 1901 and 1906) and Ernst Mach (1897, in French).
