This relief, which shows the Virgin being crowned by the Holy Trinity of Christ, God the Father and the dove of the Holy Spirit above, is known in examples in bronze, lead and copper. The popularity of the composition is attested to by the fact that it was also reproduced in simplified and reduced versions (see Weber, op. cit., nos. 454 and 888).
