The robe worked in satin stitch and couched gold threads, with nine five-clawed dragons, amidst cloud clusters, Daoist emblems and shou-character roundels above the terrestrial diagram and lishui stripe at the hem, all picked out in shades of green, blue, red purple, and ochre against a bright coral-pink ground, the sleeves with wide horse-shoe cuffs and additional band of striding dragons, matching the collar; The apron skirt of pleated coral-ground worked in satin stitch and panels of applique, with multi-colored tassels, all picked out in shades of purple, pink, yellow, green, blue and coral
