A MEXICAN SILVERED-METAL REPOUSSE CREDENZA
19th Century
Decorated allover with anthemia and foliage, the upper section with arched mirrored crest decorated with two putti flanking a laurel-wreath, above a bevelled mirror and part-galleried shelf, supported on brackets flanking a frieze with a procession of Bacchic putti, the lower section with inset marble top, above a door decorated to the front with 16th century figures resting by a river, one side with full-length figure of a gentleman in 16th century dress, the other side with a woman, on a spreading vine-decorated base and bun feet
