In 1909 he emigrated to Vancouver and then in 1915 moved to Chicago. He was President of the Chicago Cricket Club and the Illinois Cricket Association for 25 years. Throughout the years he built up a collection of cricket books and memorabilia, the majority of which are still held at the K.A. Auty Library, Ridley College, St Catharines, Ontario. Lot Essay

A COMPLETE RUN. Jerome Flannery was Secretary of the Cosmopolitan Cricket Club, New York, and reported succintly on visits by overseas elevens including Lord Hawke's team (1891 and 1894), the Australian team (1896, "the strongest combination that ever played in the United States") and Ranjitsinhji's Eleven (1899). The magazine was continued in 1904 as Spalding's Official Cricket Guide (see following lot).
