An unusual Continental large walnut quarter striking and automaton eight day table clock with calendar and moonphase

The silvered dial with gilt chapter ring and rolling moonphase above VI, subsidiary dials below for day of week with deity, month with number of days and the date, the upper rings for pendulum regulation and chime/silent, automaton figures above with Cupid working in beat with the seconds, the two flanking armoured warrior jacquemarts with automaton arms 'striking' the hours and quarters, the movement with twin barrels, anchor escapement suspended from a cam-regulated arm, the quarters striking on a gong, stamped W & H Sch
