A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE TEABOWL AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, PRESSNUMMER 11 TO TEABOWL AND 2 TO SAUCER, GILDER'S i. TO SAUCER
Painted in the manner of C.F. Herold, the teabowl with two groups of figures at various pursuits beside fences including a boy blowing bubbles through a pipe, the interior with another figure beside a fence and shrub, the saucer with a standing figure holding a flag and fan beside another boiling a kettle with an attendant between double iron-red line and gilt rims

With Langeloh, from whom it was acquired in November 1979.
