Perhaps modelled by Boizot, the nymph with her hair garlanded with roses draped in a flowing robe tied at her waist, holding a heart before a columnar altar where Cupid lights his quiver of arrows with a torch, the column with swags of roses, on a rectangular base (Cupid's left wing a restored replacement, the nymphs right arm broken and restored above elbow, some slight grinding to edge of drapery and a small associated crack, some losses to garlands in her hair)
12½ in. (31.7 cm.) high
Special notice
No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 15% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
