CIRCA 1770-75, BLUE SCEPTRE MARK
Each side finely painted with birds and waterfowl among reeds and shrubs below an ozier-moulded border, the curved spout and double-scroll handle moulded with scrolling foliage enriched in gilding, the cover with a robin in flight below a flower finial, gilt dentil rims (rims with minute wear to gilding)

A tête à tête with Vogelmalerei is illustrated by Robert Schmidt, Das Porzellan (Munich, 1925), pl. 39, and by Erich Köllmann, Berliner Porzellan (Berlin, 1966), Vol. II, pl. 16.
