Lot Essay

The Cinoscope was a combined camera and projector which sold for 975 francs in 1923 and was manufactured for the amateur market. It was marketed in France and Italy at the time when more compact and functional amateur systems were being launched, such as Pathé's 9.5mm. of 1922. This factor may have hindered the success of the camera, and as a result it is relatively scarce to today.
