Lot Essay

In 1932 the Mitchell Corporation produced the NC, standing for News Camera or possibly Noiseless Camera. It had a redesigned movement which reduced camera noise by replacing gear meshes with eccentrics and sliding surfaces. The S35R, first available in 1965 used a miniaturised version of the NC movement. The reflex Mitchell was an effective replacement of earlier models such as the Standard and the NC and of course rendered the famous rackover redundant.
