A rare Chad Valley Ooloo the cat
of black velvet with clear rounded oblong eyes the backs painted black with a gold stripe down the middle, yellow felt backing, inset cream velvet muzzle, ear linings and paws, painted and airbrushed detail, red felt tongue, whiskers, swivel head, standing, white mohair tip of tail, red and white lavel on foot and ribbon with bell around neck, circa 1930 --7½in. (19cm.) high (mohair tail tip bald, left hand paw seam restitched and very slight wear)

In 1927, George Studdy decided to stop drawing 'Bonzo' for The Sketch. Instead, he came up with a cat, in the series 'Exit Bonzo - Enter Ooloo!'. Bonzo continued to appear in other media however, such as 'Bonzo's Laughter Annual' in 1935.
