A Japanese ivory netsuke of seated Daruma, signed Gyokkosai, 19th Century
seated cross-legged with typical scowling face and loop earrings his robes open to the waist and holding a long pipe, a boy kneeling behind him; and an ivory handle decorated as a large hairy, scowling depiction of Daruma's face -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) high max. (2)
