A Chinese cloisonne vase, early 19th century
of ovoid form rising to the tall waisted neck with a flared rim, supported on a splayed foot, enamelled with the bajixiang ('Eight Buddhistic Emblems') alternating with foliate lotus scrolls below a ruyi-head band, the neck with lotus blossoms between a ruyi-head band and plantain, the foot with a lotus scroll -- 7 1/16in. (17.9cm.) high; and a Canton circular ivory box and cover, carved with figures engaged in leisurely pursuits in a tree strewn village, 19th century -- 2 9/16in. (6.5cm.) diam. (2)
