A Chinese 'Longquan' celadon bulb bowl, Ming dynasty (1368-1644)
strongly potted with rounded sides inturned at the mouth rim, supported on three animal-mask feet, with raised bosses between raised bands around the mouth rim and above the base framing the Eight Trigrams, covered overall in a sea-green glaze except for the plugged base and the centre of the interior burnt orange -- 12 11/16in. (32.3cm.) diam.
