A MID-18TH CENTURY GERMAN SILVER-GILT SNUFF BOX,
INDISTINCT MAKER'S MARK, possibly ID & "13" STANDARD MARK, CIRCA 1750, also a later Belgian control mark for 1831/68,
Of cartouche form, chased with a seated man in pointed hat, blowing a horn whilst his dog dances to the music in front of him, a village in the background, all within a rococo scroll surround, sides with engraved panels, 3 1/8 in. long (8 cm.), 2 oz.
