A COMPOSITE ITALIAN HARQUEBUSIER'S POT HELMET
Circa 1660
With two-piece skull incised with simple linear bands over the seam and around the base, the two halves each drawn out to form a peak and neck flange, the former slotted for a single nasal bar (missing), fitted with broad neck guard of three articulated lames, and studded throughout with patterns of domed brass rivets (small cracks and holes, one edge broken out).
