TWO PAIRS OF GERMAN STIRRUPS, IN 16TH CENTURY STYLE
19th Century
The first with fluted triangular sides with raised cabled edges and rising to an arched moulded bar with pendant loops for the straps, and the treads formed of two pairs of bars, the inner bars writhen; the second with fluted and cabled sides boxed for the strap loops and fitted with treads of writhen bars.
