A COMPOSITE GERMAN HAND-AND-A-HALF SWORD
circa 1530-50
With broad tapering double-edged blade cut with a very shallow fuller and incised with a mark, a circle filled with a cross, at the forte on both sides, iron hilt comprising two-stage quillons with swelling writhen terminals, spirally fluted plummet-shaped pommel, and moulded grip leather-covered over cord.
