A HUNGARIAN DRESS SABRE
19th Century
With curved single-edged blade etched on the inner-face of the forte with the Hungarian coat-of-arms, silver-gilt hilt elaborately decorated over the outer-face with polychrome enamels in a floral design and studded with mother-of-pearl and red paste plaques, the inner-face decorated with repoussée flowers and foliage, in its original leather-covered scabbard with enamelled chape, locket and middle-band en suite with the hilt, and with two rings for suspension.
