A CASED 54-BORE ADAM'S PATENT 1851 MODEL SELF-COCKING PERCUSSION REVOLVER RETAILED BY REILLY, 502 NEW OXFORD STREET, LONDON

With blued barrel signed in full by the retailer, blued scroll-engraved frame engraved with the serial number on the left (with neither prefix or suffix letter), fitted with blued safety-catch on the left and blued arbor latch on the right, the lower butt-strap stamped with the number '1305', case-hardened cylinder also numbered '1305', chequered figured walnut butt numbered '4832' and fitted with engraved trap with hinged cover (previously blued), the trigger and engraved trigger-guard each blued, and retaining much original finish throughout, London proof marks: in original fitted mahogany case lined in blue velvet, the lid with Reilly trade label, and with some accessories including an E.M. Reilly & Co. tin of wads (one compartment now incorrectly positioned, the lining with two small tears, the lid detached, its front and side panels and the escutcheon all missing).
