Four Japanese ivory okimono, 19th Century
variously carved as a marine ivory figure of standing Daruma wearing typical loop earrings, and holding a flywhisk; a man standing upon rockwork, a snake coiling up his legs; a marine ivory figure holding a woven basket and double gourd; and a woodsman, standing against a tall tree, a large axe to his feet, red lacquer signature tablet to base -- 7¼in. (18.5cm.) high. (4)
