A large Japanese Imari dish, late 17th early 18th century
decorated in the centre with two ladies pulling a cart laden with a floral basket with large peony and pink blossoms, the cavetto with cartouches enclosing auspicious emblems reserved on a floral diaper ground, the rim with panels enclosing peony and kiku sprays reserved on a floral ground, the underside and base with sprays of a variety of flowers -- 21 5/8in. (54.9cm.) diam.
