A Chinese famille verte rouleau vase, 19th century
of tapering cylindrical form rising to the high shoulders surmounted by the waisted neck and trumpet shaped mouth, enamelled on the body and neck with Buddhist lions climbing on tree peony sprays amidst a dense cloud scroll ground, all between bands variously decorated with precious objects, floral sprays and diaper grounds -- 18 3/8in. (46.6cm.) high.
