lithograph in brownish-black, 1896, Wittrock's first state (of four), on a large folded sheet of laid Japon forming the portfolio cover, signed in pencil, numbered 88 from the edition of 100, published by G. Pellet, Paris, with his stamps (L. 1191; L. 1193) and his paraph (L. 1194), with wide margins, folded just inside the upper and lower edges of the subject and just inside the right edge to form the cover, as issued, some pale time staining and minor soiling, occasional pale foxmarks mostly in the margins and on the reverse, the remains of a small paper hinge in the subject at upper right, generally in good condition, framed
