THE MOVEMENT BY JEAN-LOUIS ROUVIÈRE, LATE 18TH CENTURY
The circular enamelled dial with roman and Arabic numbers signed 'Rouvière'/'A PARIS' within a shaped case embellished with foliate scrolls, trophies and surmounted by an urn, above a shaped plinth with a relief cast panel depicting playing putti, the twin barrels movement with anchor escapement, silk suspended pendulum and count wheel strike on bell
