Inlaid á quatre faces, with floral and foliate sprays, the shaped rectangular crossbanded top with three simulated panels depicting musical attributes and floral sprays, above a gilt-tooled aubergine leather-lined writing slide, and shaped drawer, flanked by four graduated shaped drawers, the keeled-angles above cabriole legs terminating in foliate-cast sabots, stamped 'JME' and P.H. MEWESEN', losses to the veneer, the hinged top now fixed
