Well carved as a large open flower with overlapping petals that curl up at the edges on the interior, the exterior carved in high relief with lush roses and prunus blossoms borne on intertwining branches that rise from and form the openwork base, the handle at one end formed by one of these branches and the extended leg of an inquisitive chilong with turquoise glass-inlaid eyes balanced on another branch as it lifts itself up onto the rim and peers into the interior while clutching a blossoming prunus branch in its jaws, the horn of deep honey color
