Vases of this form were also produced in ivory during the 18th century. Two ivory examples are illustrated ibid., pp. 165-7, no. 210, a vase of slightly more square form, and no. 214, a vase with a pronounced, flared lip from the Sir Victor Sassoon Chinese Ivories Trust.
