The deep basin with steep sides rising to a wide, flat, pentagonal lobed rim, painted on the interior with a central design of ducks and lotus in an aquatic landscape within a similarly shaped border, the cavetto with five alternating ruyi head and oval-shaped cartouches with figures in landscapes, flowers and Daoist trigrams, reserved on various diaper grounds interspersed with pendent, ribbon-tied elements, the flat rim with small blossoms against a continuous wave ground, the exterior painted with jagged tree branches and hanging vines, the base left unglazed
