GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER INCISED MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1875-1908)
Each fluted baluster body of quatrefoil section with spreading foot and spreading barbed mouth, two sides incised with a dragon leaping above a carp rising from crashing waves within an octagonal petal-barbed border, with a pair of small mask and fixed ring handles on the narrow sides, all under a glaze of lime-green color that also covers the base

Lot Essay

A similar Guangxu-marked vase covered in a green glaze was included in the exhibition, Imperial Porcelain of Late Qing from the Kwan Collection, Art Gallery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1983, p. 142, no. 151.
