A Stoneware Food Vessel (Mukozuke)
Mino Ware, Green Oribe (Ao-Oribe) Type, Momoyama period (early 17th century)
The cylindrical vessel formed on a drape mold with eight straight sides and a recessed circular foot and painted in iron oxide with flower blossoms on vertical stripes of varying width or hanging persimmons and chevrons, each design separated by areas of green copper glaze running in drips down the sides
