Lot Essay

Yamaguchi Tankin Kabushiki Gaisha was an Osaka shop, established in 1874 specializing in metalwork, clocks, silver and gold tea utensils, and flower vases. Like the Hattori Tokeiten in Tokyo, Tankin was a commisioning company, offering high-quality work from leading artists.
