Of fan shape, with a central lacquer roundel inlaid in shell, colored ivory and coral with a three beauties dancing, playing koto and flute in an interior rendered in black hiramaki-e, togidashi, nashiji and oki-birame on a kinji ground, the openwork border silver scrollwork of chrysanthemums and vines, the underside of the central roundel lacquered in nashiji and set on three silver vine supports
