Kamakura period (early 14th century), inscribed Bizen kuni Osafune ju Nagamitsu and bearing date Shoan sannen junigatsu (no) hi (1301.12)

Kitae [forging pattern]: tightly packed ko-itame in jinie
Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha ko-midare
Boshi [tip]: suguha
Horimono [carving]: bo-hi ni tsure-hi on both sides
Nakago [tang]: o-suriage with three holes
Habaki [collar]: double, gold
Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 27 1/8in. (69cm.) long
