Shobu-zukuri with bo-hi, marudome and futasu-bi, the forging pattern tight ko-itame, the front edge of the blade with a gunome tempered edge with ashi, kinsuji and niei, the rear edge with narrow suguha; tang ubu with one hole

In shirasaya [plain wood storage scabbard], 6¾in. (17.1cm.) long

19th-century aikuchi koshirae comprising a silver ishime saya highlighted with kirigane "pine needles" on the surface, the silvered kojiri, koiguchi and fuchi-gashira carved with foliate scroll, wood tsuka polished to highlight the natural red color and straight grain
