Edo period (17th century), signed Heianjo ju Yoshihira saku and with gold-inlaid cutting test inscription Futatsu do hidari te uchi and illegible name of the tester
Sugata [configuration]: hon-zukuri, iori-mune, chu-kissaki, torii-zori
Kitae [forging pattern]: closely packed ko-itame with hints of mokume of jinie
Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha gunome in nioi and nie with kinsuji and sunagashi
Boshi [tip]: ko-maru, hakikake
Horimono [carving]: Bishamonten on the omote, bonji on the ura
Nakago [tang]: ubu with two holes and kiri file marks
Habaki [collar]: double, silver and gold with floral motif and "cat-scratch" pattern
Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 18in. (45.8cm.) long Motohaba [width at start of tempered edge]: 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.)
Sakihaba [width before tip]: 1in. (2.5cm.)

In shirasaya [plain wood storage scabbard] with additional scabbard with inscription by Hon'ami Mitsuyuki

With a Tokubetsu kicho token (Sword especially worthy of preserving) certificate no. 18315 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kai (Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword), dated 1956.4.13

With an oshigata by Hon'ami Mitsuyuki signed Hon'ami Mitsuyuki and kao and dated 1961.8.16, mounted as a hanging scroll
