The black-lacquer saya with a shakudo nanako-ji kozuka with roosters and hens in iroe taka-zogan, the tsuka fitted with shibuichi migaki-ji fuchi-gashira with a horse and groom carved in taka-bori with gold and shakudo highlights, and shakudo and gold menuki formed as centipedes and pagodas; the iron tsuba carved on the surface in relief and pierce-carved with a design of a sailing ship on crashing waves
