Lot Essay

As pointed out by Gudlaugsson, loc.cit., the present lot betrays the influence of Terborch, who was active in Zwolle. Vollenhove, after an apprenticeship in Amsterdam, became Mayor of Kampen in 1677, which is close to Zwolle
