The rectangular moulded rouge de rance marble top above a scrolled frieze centred to the front by a bearded mask flanked by reclining putti, the framed glazed door flanked and surmounted by inset lapis lazuli panels, enclosing a gold velvet-lined interior fitted with two shelves, the angles headed by scrolled acanthus mounts, on a stepped plinth
