The oval bleu turquin marble top with moulded border, signed and dated Henry Dasson et Cie 1891., and with a pierced three-quarter gallery with tiered letter-rack surmounted by a candelabrum issuing three scrolled acanthus branches each with plain drip-pan and fluted nozzle, the front with a pull-out writing-slide above a compartment, the back with a trellis-parquetry door enclosing a marble-lined interior, on cabriole legs hipped with acanthus clasps running to scrolled sabots, the underside stamped HENRY DASSON & CIE. 1891
