YEAR CYPHER FOR 1898, IRON-RED PRINTED MARKS
Each painted to the front by Désiré Leroy with a bouquet of flowers, signed, within an oval reserve framed by raised gilt and turquoise enamelled cartouche, applied to the shoulders with two leaf-scroll upright handles

Lot Essay

Désiré Leroy worked at Sèvres factory prior to moving to Minton. In 1890, he moved again to Royal Crown Derby, where he had his own studio workshop.
