AN IRON-BROWN PEAR-SHAPED VASE, Yuhuchun, 14th/15th Century
Painted in iron-brown under a crackled bluish cream glaze with rectangular panels of floral sprays above stylized cloud scrolls, the neck with a frieze of plantain leaves, all within double line borders, a band of classic scroll bordering the inside of the rim, the foot steeply cut and the base with brown wash (some chips underneath the rim)
