With Vairocana seated in the center on a lotus throne backed by a halo and mandala lined with multicolored jewels, hands before his heart, surrounded by smaller Buddhas with hands in various mudras seated on lotus thrones backed by red halos and mandalas

This is one of a set of possibly eleven or more of the Thousand Buddhas made for the Gelugpa monastery. The inscriptions on the reverse are notable for being written correctly in mirror image for each figure.
