OF LOUIS XVI STYLE, 20TH CENTURY, AFTER ADAM WEISWEILER
The circular granite top above a scrolling foliate frieze supported by three basket-bearing tapered caryatids joined by curved stretchers with a central ball finial and terminating in tapering spirally-fluted feet

Lot Essay

Adam Weisweiler, originally from Neuwied, executed various smaller items of furniture including numerous gueridons. A closely related model was produced in the late 19th century by Alfred Beurdeley.
